Acquisition
One of two possible rewards for completion of the Daedric quest Ill Met By Moonlight. The hide can be obtained if you choose to kill and skin Sinding.
Choosing to help Sinding instead allows you to receive the Ring of Hircine once you leave the cave.
Quest
The quest reward for completing the Daedric quest Ill Met By Moonlight, if you kill and skin Sinding.
Notes
The display can take both the original and the replica.
If you killed and skinned Sinding, you only need to have had the original in your inventory for the replica recipe to be available.
If you instead chose to help Sinding, the replica recipe will unlock at the Replica Station at the completion of the quest.
