An early WIP screenshot of Odyssey

Odyssey will feature new areas and new displays for the Museum.

A new Gallery (The Hall of Legends) can be found in Legacy through console commands. Featuring glass windows for the nine divines but one window is covered up with a Thalmor Banner.

Current status:

  • Multiple acts
  • Odyssey will only be available for Skyrim Special Edition[1]
  • Multiple new regions
  • New items to display

Originally, the first release of Odyssey was going to be released for both Special Edition and Legendary Edition. However, this plan was dropped due to a combination of Legacy already pushing the engine for LE to the brink, as well as icecreamassassin disliking having to maintain 2 separate versions.

At one point, the excavations would have been set in the Beyond Skyrim worldspaces. However, because of how long development on the Beyond worldspaces has taken so far, as well as the fact that there are no Beyond projects for Valenwood, the Summerset Isles, Akavir, or any of the islands of Thras, this was scrapped in favor of having their own worldspaces.

Originally, the mod was scheduled to be released in 2020, but due to the (as of this update) ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the development team has said that they will be unable to get the mod out before 2021.
