  • Newb here

What mods are you using for the extra weapons in your armory pictures ,and how are you displaying them as well?

      Loading editor
    • As said on the Armory page, it's Heavy Armory, Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons. They can be added either by putting them in the cabinet under the stairs in the armory or dropping them in the display chest by the Replica bench in the office. I prefer doing the latter because it returns any duplicates to you, whereas putting them directly in the cabinet doesn't. I also use https://lotd.fuchsberger.us/gallery to keep track of my armory progress so I know what to craft or loot.

  • I don't know if we should include information for mods like Amulets tweaks on pages. Technically it's not related to the actual item and where it is in the original mod. Other mods people make I don't feel fit the criteria to be mentioned on the pages.

I am the author too lol. But just my 2 cents, other people's input would be good.

    • The author of the mod did specificly make it for use in the museum, and I put it in the "notes" section instead of the "aquisition" to sort of differentiate it as a non-base mod inclusion. If you feel it shouldn't be included then that's up to you, but imo if it's made clear its an optional mod not officially supported then it should be fine.

    • Understandable, unless others object to it it seems OK by me at least.

    • I think it's fine for the amulets, gives people looking for a way to obtain them all an option. I don't think we should go nuts with it though, things like bugfix / compatibility mods etc. can possibly go on those mod pages I still have not made yet (like Oblivion Artifact Pack}.... hahaha. I will get on that :) Be sure to use the Nexus template for linking to the Nexus.

  • This item displays normally for me, both enchanted and unchanted versions, either works.

It seems rather odd that they would not include this item in the display. It is there in the MCM Amulets of Skyrim checklist.

Can you try displaying it on a new save?

      Loading editor
    • Well I wasn't the one who edited that page. I was afraid this copnfusing might happen when I saw smeone else with "Draco" in their username. Regardless, I can check.

    • Yep, can confirm all wooden mask rings and amulets, enchanted and not, right and left, all display fine.

        Loading editor
    • Probably me, was going by the image in the amulets of skyrim page and it not showing up there (amulet of wooden mask), so if anyone could confirm if it was changed in V5 (I cannot confirm at the time)

        Loading editor
    • I just tested it in V5 with all variants. All worked fine.

  • Hi there :)

Are the recent changes you have made for Special Edition OAP? If that is the case, we need to find a way to keep the info on vanilla Skyrim locations while having Special Edition info there too (unless the locations were changed in vanilla Skyrim too).

    • I've got the fossils covered, but thank you for offering to do it :)

I also noticed the differences in display versus item names. I have written the item name in ( ) after the display name to try to make up for the differences.

    • Thank god. I didn't want to console those in, and they're a pain to mine up. I've cleared out Blackreach twice now and not a single crystalized one. I'll stick to the scales then. I'm well near finished those. And I've seen the mod editors looking at some new additions, too. I think I was the one who prompted them to add the Walking Staff and a new ring I'll make a page for when I do the rest.

  • Since you said you're currently going through solstheim, could I ask you to look for the amulets of the black books (amulet of delving pincers, etc)? I missed two of them on my run through solstheim (bloody things are so small they seem untrackable). They tend to be hidden in the same chamber as the black book, but I sometimes forgot to look for them (oops, enjoying the game too much :)

    • I've added to each page, I think. They are all in rooms with books if you look hard. Some are on obvious pedestals. One is in a bowl next to a chest. The hardest one to find for me was in White Ridge Barrow. It's in a brazier next to the Word Wall, not by the book. If you're having trouble finding any, the actual mod page has a full lsit of locations.

  • I'm just going to keep a list of locations here as I finid them, so someone smarter than myself can make pages for them later.

    Left Side:

Ghazorah's Inferno: On an Orc surrounded by charred corpses in the Hagraven room of Serpent's Bluff Ruins.

    Forgehammer:

Brii Dinok: On a small island West of the Wreck of the Brinehammer, on an altar surrounded by necromancers.

    Sunna Alata:

Matron: Peak of Lost Valley Redoubt, on the Hagraven altar in front of the worrd wall.

Shieldbreaker: Held by Hjavarr Iron-Hand, leader of Whiteriver Watch.

Arondil's Phantom Staff: Held by Arondil (big shocker) in Yngvald.

First & Second Fang of Sai: ---------

    Middle Display:

Provincial Artifacts-Volume IV, Skyrim: Found in the Arcanaeum, also sold by Urag gro-Shub.

    Dwarven Stingblade:

Bthurmac and Repair Device: Alftand Ruined Tower, together on a table. Bthurmac breaks after each use and requires a Grand Soul to repair.

    Right Display:

Krofeyn: Weilded by Bashnag in Southfringe Sanctum.

    Dragon Hide Vest: --------

Helm of Ylgar: On an entombed draugr (probably Ylgar) on the opposite side of Skytemple Ruins

Claws of Hiefnir: Looted from the Nord next to the Boss chest in Shadowgreen Cavern

Shadowsilk Robe: On a necromancer in front of the Shadow Stone.

Shackles of Xalkras: Sunderstone Gorge, on the altar in front of the word wall, on a smaller alter to Mehrunes Dagon (+10% to Destruction spell damage if activated)

Brigand's Shield: Held by Captain Hargar in Broken Oar Grotto during the quest "Light's Out"

    • I'd also like to say that the Vigilant questline is the devil, and I was so distracted trying to survive that I wasn't paying much attention to how and where everything was picked up. I can tell you that by the end you'll be able to craft nearly everything at the forge in the Temple of the Vigilants. And the last item, at the top of the dispaly cases on the right side of the room, is the Rose of Lamae. Mine is the Withered version, I haven't tested if it takes the purified one, but I'd have to assume so.

Amulets are actually easy, the mod page has a full list of locations on it.

And when you say "unobtainable", do you mean not programmed in or just not implimented into the world?

The author reached out to me, they're in the ESP/Files but not supposed to be obtainable.  </div>
