    • Dang, I remember changing his name to Zealot on most of the pages he is mentioned on, because I thought it was a spelling mistake.

  • Hi there :)

I was wondering if you can help me with something? The 36 books in the Sermons of Vivec series needs their location info checked in the CK, and I am not at all CK savvy, so I was hoping you might be able to check them for me.

  • Hi there, DocDoBig :)

I have been wondering how you calculate your completion percentage on your playthroughs? I have been thinking of doing something similar when I finally start my playthrough at some point.

      Loading editor
    • Eh it's nothing special, it's just a really rough estimate of how much I've done in my playthrough, I check SkyComplete on what Vanilla quests I've done and just estimate on that number of how much I have still to do.

Thing is I have so many DLC size and quest mods I can't really give an exact number because most of these are completely new for me and I have no clue what to expect.

For instance I didn't touch Wyrmstooth (which I could speedrun though, I played this mod so often by now), Falskaar, Undeath (Never made it past the second quest), Beyond Reach and Summerset Isle (totally new), Wheels of Lull (so hard I ragequitted it last playthrough) and I still have to play all Legacy quests, I've only found Ulgarg's body for Shattered Legacy in my last playthrough and that's it, never progressed further. I still have to visit the Reach in my current playthrough as well so that can still take a while.

It could very well be that I still have a thousand hours to go to finally complete my playthrough

    • Ahh, okay. Yeah, the quest mods add so many hours to the game that it is difficult to know exactly how long you will be spending playing the game or how far you have come to total completion. I think I will skip that part then, in my playthrough.

  • I have a question. some article like seraphinite have a diffrent layout than something like scallop shells layouts. is this intentional

      Loading editor
    • The scallop shell is the old layout, from before the templates. Here and there there are such pages still in existence. If you see one and can't fix them immediately (which with those type of changes happens often) throw in a: Needs clean-up category, so it's easier for everyone to find them again.

    • thanks for the reply Sanamia

    • yeah the the seashells are outdated page layouts, most of the books in library first floor have that too

im currently working on a map for the location for all of the seashell spots so stay tuned

  • It is okay if yours has atlas map markers and such. The most important thing is that it is possible to see where you are at :)

    • I just saw your comment about having the text of the books in spoilers. Yes, I think that would be too hardcore and too much work. If the book is used for something in Legacy and the text is important, I think it would be a good idea to have the text here on the wiki, but not for the normal books in my opinion.

        Loading editor
    • Its really easy to copy the text from books using creation kit, here the text from Lost Ages for example: http://pastebin.com/RgR0EUcy

and yes I suggested only the books DBM added to the game (around 60) because all Vanilla books have been documented on the Wikis

        Loading editor
    • I must admit I don't know how to use the CK, but if the text is that easy to get, I say go for it :)

  • When I install MO, won't I have to reinstall all my mods? I'm guessing MO is going to recognise all of them, but if we assume that NMM "broke" some files here and there, a reinstall with MO will probably needed?

      Loading editor
    • Yeah I guess more or less you have to reinstall all mods, my transition from NMM to MO is more than a year ago so my memories are pretty vague regarding that.

You can probably NOT continue to use your old saves after the transition so thats up to you, a new savegame gives much opportunity to weed out and add new mods though :)

If you really want to make this transition I suggest this guide to clean up your Skyrim folder first: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again - NMM makes it really dirty while with MO it saves the mod in virtual folders

and then the /r/Skyrimmods beginner guide or http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer for setting up MO, plus videos from Gamer Poet really helped me out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-yJ_9uBUBQ

Once done I can gladly help you with more MO questions and suggest some mods I use without a major CTD in easily 300 hours in the past months
