Overview

The guild house becomes available after A Room with a View, it consists of two floors and is attached to the right wing of the Museum. It has a main front door and two back doors. It can also be entered on the ground floor from the museum through a door in the Reception Hall and Staff Barracks and on the upper floor from the Safehouse. It is the place where the recruited explorers will live after completing Digging Up Explorers.

Once you've talked to your guild members after Digging Up Explorers, you can send them out to excavate Archaeological Fragments and Keystones by selecting the "I have a job for you" option. Their spoils, coins and archeology fragments will be placed in the Explorer Dig Finds chest after their return. It is a very good way to obtain more fragments, as the usual way is rather tedious.

These parts can be used to create Artifacts at either the Archaeology Station in the guild house, the one in the safehouse or the one in the Curator's Office of the Museum. These items are displayable in the Reception Hall.

Ground Floor

The ground floor features the following (from the main entrance, left to right):

  • Stairs leading to the upper floor.
  • A short hallway that leads to sleeping quarters with unowned beds and chests, the door leading to the Reception Hall and Staff Barracks is located in the quarters.
  • An Archaeology Station where you can craft artifacts from Archaeological Fragments and Keystones or reconstructed fossils from Fossil Fragments.
  • After Darnette Lauven, the Merethic paleontologist, has been recruited, her Fossil Exchange Crate is located next to the entrance to Eriana's shop.
  • Eriana's shop which contains supply and armor/weapons storage chests that are linked with your Safehouse storage.
  • The Guildmaster's Journal and a frame for the Explorer's Guild Charter above it.
  • Two back doors that lead to a balcony where the Dev Aveza is anchored once it has been acquired.
  • The Trophy Case (see below) which can be used to display the Explorer Relics from Tools of the Trade.
  • The Archaeology Skills table and the Explorer Dig Finds chest next to it.

Guild Master's Journal

The Guildmaster's journal can be used to add current followers as members of the Explorers Society. Simply recruit them, give them an Explorers Guild Ring and bring them to this book and select the Add Members option. You can also use this book to summon the senior Explorer team and additional random added members to the guild house for a prep meeting.

Upper Floor

  • To the right of the stairs the sleeping quarters for your guild members are located. They contain (owned) beds for all of them.
  • Straight ahead is another sleeping quarters, it contains another set of unowned beds and the door leading to the safehouse. If the Legacy of the Dragonborn - Followers Patch and any or all of the supported mods are installed, displays for the respective follower will be added to this room (see Follower Displays below).
