Acquisition

Received from a Penitus Oculatus messenger as a gift from the Emperor for killing the Dark Brotherhood.
If you instead choose to help the Dark Brotherhood, Goldbrand is found onboard The Katariah during the Dark Brotherhood quest 'Hail Sithis'.
With Artifacts - The Tournament of the Ten Bloods activated, you recieve a new spell (Sirilonwe's Ritual) upon completing the quest that allows the player to switch between this sword and Goldbrand at will.
