Item Template updated
All right, now that the Creation Club Patch Hub is back and the work on the CC content will begin in a short time, I thought it was time to update the Item template.
Almost all Creations are esl-flagged plugins, the BaseIds follow this rule:
record will change dynamically.
Have a look at the Template:Item page on how to use it.
UPDATE: N9is gave me something to think about (handling replicas etc.). So I decided to add a new template (Template:Item2) which contains some nifty new functions. Consider it a successor to the old Item template.
Some minor changes I want to make
It feels good to contribute to the wiki, even in small ways. Still learning all the ropes of the webstie though, so apologies if any edits/changes aren't up to quality they should be. So as I have been browsing the wiki, there have been modifications I want to make, but have been unsure how to make. First would be adding the Hall of Wonders to the other galleries tab. Next I want to add to the Supported mods additional rooms search tab at the bottom of certain pages to include the Artifacts of Skyrim room and the aforementioned Hall of Wonders to the Main Galleries section. I also want to learn to insert those Item templates so I can start adding more images and info on articles I post.
Cloaks Dresser
Updated the Cloaks Dresser and its items to SSE and added missing images. Also decided to add an additional tag to the item template called Description that can be used if the text on the inventory image and the actual enchantment (if any) don't match (here's an example from the Cloaks dresser).
New book content template
Still working on the maps part, but when digging through the library I saw that the little book content spoiler I created some time ago is too small for the new fandom layout. The "Show/Hide text" part got word-wrapped and looks ugly. So I decided rather than editing every single part, I created a new template (Template:Content). Just put it on the page and insert the text, it will produce the following:
Maps, maps, maps
Currently I'm working on three (new) categories:
- Image resources - City maps
- Image resources - Local maps
- Image resources - World maps
As the name suggests, these categories have the goal to contain every map that is used on the wiki, to easily find and use them on item pages. This will take some time, though, because I'm also checking for maps that are no longer used and delete them.
Additionally, maps that are in png format will be changed to webp and re-uploaded (since the wiki parser renders them finally correct, I think it is a waste of storage space when the webp lossy format uses up about 1/10 to 1/20 of a png image). Item pages will be edited accordingly.
Finally, the Image resources - Local maps page contains a link to my Google…
Bathing Room
Updated the Bathing Room and added missing info for its Inn soaps display subpages. Compared to the Cheese Aging Room this was a piece of cheese cake.
Cheesemod for Everyone
- 25 days of work.
- 206 item pages with as many item images.
- 747 location images.
- 285 updated or created local maps.
Now I know why Sheogorath is called the Prince of Madness, but I'm proud to announce that the Cheese Aging Room is finally - fragging - DONE!
Can't see cheese for a while...
Armory items need overhaul...
So after finally arriving in the Armory (Hi DracoRising!) I noticed that a lot of items (e.g. the Falmer ones that I'm currently working on) need a rework. A lot of images and stats MerrianMay provided are the version. I'll upload vanilla images, add the according stats and a note referring to WACCF (like on this page).
EDIT: F%&$k, forget it. Just found out that the names have been swapped between classic and SSE and stats have been altered. This is going to get messy.
EDIT2: I knew this is a mess. WACCF changes the names. Back to edit mode again...
Library almost finished (again...)
So after going through 500+ books again, I can say that the library is almost complete. Created three new categories along the way (Library 1st floor SSE, Library 2nd floor SSE and Library 3rd floor SSE) and dumped the books in there.
There are still some location images missing, notably Hjerim, Proudspire Manor (haven't aquired them in my current playthrough yet), the College of Winterhold (playing with Immersive College of Winterhold which makes massive changes to the layout) and a few others. But after all, 95% is done, the rest is on the to-do-list.
Time to grab a beer and have a look at the other galleries!
Library almost finished
So that was that. (Almost) finished the library, just a little cleanup to do (checking for categorys, things I forgot and so on) and then it's finally done. Oh yeah, treasure maps... all in good time.
EDIT: Spoke too soon... Rare Books section needs more work. Well, back to CK and Photoshop ;-)
Finished Rare books section and Mezzanine!
Phew. Finally got through the Gated Bookcase section of the 1st floor (aka SSE MCM section: Rare Books); and almost finished the 2nd Floor (aka SSE MCM section: Mezzanine) - treasure maps will come later.
Next is the first floor with the book series (SSE MCM Section: Main Floor - Left/Right Bookcases), but I don't think I will provide images and precise infos for EVERY location. Since many of these books are categorized in the Creation Kit as cheap or common books, there are literally dozens of places where you can find them.
I think I'll add detailed infos and images for locations in the main citys which are not quest locked and simple to reach (a little stealing / breaking and entering is ok ;-)
Legacy of the Dragonborn V5 has been released!
After many months of development, the highly anticipated V5 of Legacy of the Dragonborn has been released! With this update, we will need anyone willing and available to update the wiki to reflect all the new changes that have been made to the mod.
List of all the major changes and additions in Legacy V5: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Gv1WrC0Dz7_Bcg3WhMoMyNfGO0AezQQfZSTX43Sj48M
Vigilant
So today I finished the Vigilant mod (all 4 acts, good ending) and it has been quite the journey. Just like everyone it feels like I need a break after this. I returned "home" to the museum and I just couldn't get myself to start those bland vanilla quests anymore.
Vicn has redefined the quest mod category and I can't thank the voice actors who took it upon themselves to translate it from Japanse enough.
I only managed to fill about 3/4th of the Vigilant room upon returning, so I guess I'll have to go back one day.

Adding missing Orcish items to Armory page
Currently working on adding all the missing Orcish items and their info to the Armory page.
Thane Weapons Reborn
I was just reminded that Icecreamassassin's own Thane Weapons Reborn weapons are missing from the wiki, so I'll be switching my focus to them. I also forgot that I have most of the locations of the Amulets of Skyrim items, but haven't gotten around to adding the info yet. That will be what I work on after Thane Weapons Reborn.
Apologies for jumping around so much work-wise on the wiki. I tend to switch focus every few days to avoid getting bored. Sometimes it has the unfortunate side effect that I forget what I was working on.
Note to self
The dragonborn relics that are gotten at the end of shattered legacy have had their look changed, needs new images.
A baby boy
Just wanted to let you all know why I haven't been very active lately. I gave birth to a baby boy on the 8th of July, and have been quite busy since (in a good way :) ).
Semi-away
Only semi-active here as I will be spending more time to clean-up templates on the German Wiki. Still need to translate most templates over there, and then double check if I have everything both there and on the French wiki.
After that it's back to portal pages and overviews, Who I can then just port over to each wiki without extra work.
patch updates
Updated MIL and OAP patches.
- Fixed missing havoc scripts - Removed duplicate display in combo patch - Changed tower of 9 to OAP version in combo patch
Clean DBMArmorDisplayScript when updating.
Updated MAS patch
-fixed issue with Hellfire staff clipping and displays of MAS items that went missing on the last update.
News: Heavy Armory
Warning: Heavy Armory just released an update recently, DO NOT update to this new version until compatibility is addressed and a possible release of updated set of patches. It sounds like this update works off the CCOR compatible version rather than the original, so it should be fine, but several people have expressed issues with the armory this week, and upgrading HA is probably to blame. Please wait for an update to the patches.
News : AOS displays online
Yes while most displays are now accounted for this is also a test of a new news feature I really want to implement so I'm doing words.
works!
Might be not as active
Beside Skyrim I play Battlefield with a passion, Battlefield 1 launched today and I'm going to play the f out of it for an unforeseeable time
ToDo this weekend
- Make Seashell map FINALLY, I was thinking about how I do it the best, I will just fly up to the sky with tcl and make some screenshots of the map that way and hope it doesn't look all too shabby
- Work on LLN pages
- Play the Dragonborn DLC on Tucia :P
how templates take a life of their own.
Just this one little thing...
- Well okay I could make it easier if I made a template to manage this thing. Okay I'm tired of copy pasting over this link it's too long and hard to remember. Maybe if I make a template for that template then this template...
In the end XKCD got it right:
http://xkcd.com/1739/
Though I wont stop now, it's so beautiful when the pieces fall together and a single word suddenly does stuff.
But over 40 templates in I believe I forgot one or two. Meh I'll find it again, and at some point I should really return to the original problem :P
Just made my playthrough more enjoyable :)
So usually I'd have a 30 seconds+ loading screen when I go through doors, I used to live with it as I'm coming from XBOX, but goddamn did it begin to annoy me to the point where simple fetch and get quests were just progressed with the coc and movetoqt command, as it is my first serious non-test playthrough I really despised doing that all the time.
But the fix was right under my nose, I had to just disable Auto Save on Travel: http://i.imgur.com/KuV6HCz.jpg and now everything loads like it's a fresh save again, I have to fiddle with large 40 mb save games now so I guess every time I'm changing cells it has to write that 40mb file
Now I just have to rely on hard and quick saves which isn't really a problem as my load order is surprisingly st…
Unused objects in Legacy
In my adventures with CK I stumbled over some things that are inside Legacy but aren't really used, just to remind myself I make this list and perhaps ask ice one day what the plan for those is:
- Sigvarr's Journal - dunOgmundsTomb_SigvarrsJournal from the Ogmunds Tomb quest mod which is included in Legacy, can be obtained by cocing to DBM_util and take it from a chest
- Vosis Dragon Priest - if you write help Vosis in the console you will see there are 3 NPC's called Vosis all from Legacy, they aren't used anywhere
- All cells from Morsel - The Cursed Halls are included in it's entirety but aren't used anywhere coc codes here: http://i.imgur.com/MG8OsiT.png, I asked ice about it and it will be used for Odyssey, Quote "It's going to be the base tem…
I love returning home
And see all my slav.... I mean followers I dismissed over time, gathered up around the dining table to enjoy some food with Auryen and Avram:
Dig Sites Locations
Time to step up the Dig Sites page and add all locations where one appears, CK counts there are 100 of those across the game, 4 of are unreachable normally (3 in DBM_Utility3 cell and one is just a static version used in the dining room of the Museum)
It's pretty hard to determine the location of a dig site in the CK render screen so I leave out some exact locations to see it later ingame.
I'm making a txt again and add it at work lunch tomorrow.
Little side note regarding Paintings so i don't forget, the Painting from Lord Niles Macnarian is called Macnarian's Painting and is the big one used above the fireplace in the dining room, always wondered why i cant put a picture there normally.
Fate Card Locations
I prepared a txt file with 25 Cards that have fixed locations yesterday before going to sleep which I will apply later on my lunch break
Done: 12th September
Yup Card of Demons: Ace can't be looted from Harkon
Seashells guide
About seashells, I wanted to find out the exact spawnpoints for those, I asked on the nexus page how i could accomplish that with ck, that's why the one I edited looked like crap, I was going to edit it later with possible fixed locations.
Guess i can't do that without doing more work than good since there are 120 spawn points set by the original mod author, perhaps i will compile a list similar in style to the Unique Treasure Chests guide (without screenshots of course) but with a map of the coast with little dots and I will just link to it in the new cleaned up seashell pages
I compiled a pastebin template page for seashells nonetheless: http://pastebin.com/2bt1CaGf
Articles in the elderscrolls wiki are so .... dirty
Literally triggered me when I wanted to edit one there, it's a total mashup of Visual, CLassic and Source Editor code where you had to scroll 5 minutes to find the right thing
Glad me have those clean templates here :P
Taking care of Gems now
Going by list, might also add all dungeons to the Dig Sites list since ice showed me how to do check them with CK
Made a clean template for Gemstone pages: http://pastebin.com/SGPe2sFb
Done: 8th September 2016
So I'm digging through Legacy with CK
FML, so I noticed there are QUITE a few books added. Approximately 400 different ones, most of those come from though, also there are around 200 actors and enemies all from the integrated mods.
That will be ... interesting ... to catalogize and document everything.
Moon & Star
Just finished Moon & Star mod for the first time. Tho I never played ES3 and Nerevarine is lost on me, I enjoyed the mod much. It's so small, but lovely and well made. No bugs whatsoever. And I was wonering...is the only conflict with the Gallary - Moon & Star ring? Or weapons that you get from Nerevarine too...
Finals, finals, finals, ...
It's been a wonderfull time the past two weeks, getting back to Skyrim modding and contributing to the wikia. But damn, I should REALLY be studying! First final coming up thursday and I'm far from prepared. RL getting in the way again :(
Anyway, my activity is going to lower the next few weeks, but don't worry...
I'll be back.
the death of a save...
Warning entails slight comedy,
A save tortured to death by endless updating, re-loading and even cleaning every script in existence at one point. Doing everything one should not do he was the ultimate bad bay, removing mods installing mods. Even using feared mods like CWO didn't hurt him.
One mostly necrotic save now, he served me well. Surviving all the way from 15.beta up to 16.1. hundreds of hours countless levels later... He's on it's last leg.
No more crafting as it immediately Crashes the game, never going through Solitude as the endless load screens only existed there. and at some point it was too much, he can't leave the museum anymore without crashing. Knowing NPC'S and enemies have come and gone and the display counter rests at 1703…
Planning to add NPC's from Moonpath
Going to do the Moonpath quest line the next day, adding all the Khajiits as new page then
Also adding various other NPC's like Byron
Started writing some typical Q&A stuff in the forums.
Some of the typical things one might need when making updates to pages and some helpful tips.
planned for whenever I get to it:
- galleries and you - a post about screenshots.
- templates used on the wiki and what they are for
- using and other tags.
- table of contents. including circumvention when needed.
any other ideas?
My v16 playthrough
I started a new playthrough when v16 rolled out, killing my old 100 hours save a Level 80 Redguard named Casem. The new character is a Female Imperial called Tucia. Currently rocking Level 40 at 56 hours and 300 displays.
Feels like I only saw 5% of my modded game though lol.
The reason because of that is that I have SO many new lands and quests mods that it will takes ages to go through all of them, which is nice, I like a very content heavy Skyrim. You cant really impress me with fancy ENB's, fancy Lights or fancy Water, I dont need that to have fun with my game. The more Quests, Locations and items added to my game the better!
Wheels of Lull
Going to install and play Wheels of Lull in this playthrough...will be updating missing info on that topic soon...tho it'll probably be some time since I get to boss fights, that mod is pretty big ))
Somehow installing it midplay messes up my saves, so I need to solve that too, that's pretty bad, 'cause i really wanna play this one again.
I'm done with Wheels of Lull. Added all item locations to the Museum display. Great mod, tho always causing me some crush problems, but worth it 100%...too unique and well made. Tho aside from main quest walkthrough (thank god, this exists at least), there's close to zero info on it. And main quest is far from all this mod brings.
There're few more unique pieces of equipment that you can get - for example Diving…
Reworking articles
Currently adding the new Wiki and Nexus links to the Aetherium Collection.

Category Tree
Started a work in progress Category Tree on the Category Template Documentation page. Improvements or changes are welcome!
Gallery Template
I reworked the Galler Template. Now it provides the exact gallery wich is used on all the pages under the Location heading.
Using the template allows to change the appearance of all the galleries on all pages if wanted/necessary without editing every single page. It also is a lot easier to use because you don't have to remember all the properties used for the gallery to match the others.
Link Templates
I just created new templates which allow to link to the Nexus or the Elderscrolls Wiki easily:
- Template:Wiki
- Template:Nexus
